Packaging Lab Building

The CBU Certified Packaging Lab moved into its new $4.5M building in January 2024. Thanks to the generous gift from Mr. Richard T. Gadomski. â€‹It allows CBU to expand its capability from distribution packaging into cold-chain and medical device packaging.

Shock Testing

The lab has three drop testers with 175lb, 500lb, and 661lb capacity. It also has an inclined impact tester with 4,000lb payload capacity.

Compression Testing

The lab has two compression tables with 5,000lb and 15,000lb capacity.

Vibration Testing

There are three random vibration tables with payload capacity of 75lb, 800lb, and 3,000lb.

Thermal Testing

There are three environmental chambers for thermal testing with 3, 32, 64, and 800 CF chamber volume.

Material Testing

The lab has an Edge Crush Tester, Mullen Burst Tester, and a Tensile Tester for material testing.
